CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland Heights native Travis Kelce is a Super Bowl champion once again. He and the Chiefs found a way to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy yet again as they rallied to beat the 49ers, 25-22, in Super Bowl 58 on Sunday night in Las Vegas.
Kelce did not start off the game very well. Early in the game, the tight end shoved and shouted at head coach Andy Reid after he was not on the field when Isiah Pacheco lost a fumble inside the 49ers’ 10-yard line.

But like his quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Kelce came on late and finished the night strong. He finished with nine catches for 93 yards, both game highs.
Kelce had only one catch on the game-winning drive. But it got the Chiefs to the 49ers’ 3 before Mahomes ended the game with a 3-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman.
He did have an impact on the game-tying drive at the end of regulation with two catches for 31 yards. The second was a 22-yard completion on a third down to get to the 49ers’ 11 with 16 seconds left.
Kelce and Mahomes now have three Super Bowl championships in the last five seasons, and the Chiefs are the first back-to-back champions since the 2003-04 Patriots.
