Search underway for woman missing for several days

CHICAGO — A search is underway on Saturday for a woman who police say has been missing for several days.

According to Chicago police, 57-year-old Bridgette Silas has not been heard from since Wednesday.

Officers say the missing woman, who has black hair and brown eyes, stands 6-foot-1 and weighs around 190 pounds. Officers say she also has a faded birthmark on her shoulder, though it is unclear on which side.

Authorities say Silas is known to frequent areas near the 1000 block of West Wilson Avenue in Uptown.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 57-year-old Bridgette Silas is asked to contact the CPD Area Three Special Victims Unit at 312-744-8266 or dial 911.
