DUPAGE COUNTY, Ill. — A 25-year-old man was arrested Thursday night after attempting to evade police during a high speed pursuit.

According to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, officers with the Addison Police Department noticed Ivan Carrillo leaving the Game Time 190 Bar at 10 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8.

Officers later observed Carrillo disobey a red light at Lake Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard and attempted a traffic stop. At which point, Carrillo allegedly accelerated at a high rate of speed where he then blew through a red light at Army Trail Road and Mill Road before entering northbound I-355.

A police pursuit continued as Carrillo allegedly reached 95 mph while weaving in and out of traffic. Officers then terminated the pursuit over safety concerns.

Around 10:30 p.m., an Addison police officer noticed Carillo running through a park near his home and was then taken into custody.

Officers reported that Carrillo’s eyes were glassy and bloodshot, his speech was slow and there was an odor of alcohol coming from his breath.

Carrillo has been charged with one count of aggravated fleeing and eluding, one count of aggravated DUI, and one count of aggravated driving while license suspended, as well as a dozen misdemeanors and traffic offenses. His next court appearance will be on Monday, March 4.
